Elon Musk announced Linda Yaccarino, a former advertising executive at NBCUniversal, as his successor and the new CEO of Twitter on Friday.
“I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!” he tweeted on his personal account.
Musk stated that Yaccarino will be predominantly responsible for business operations, while he will focus on product design and novel technologies.

He added, “I look forward to collaborating with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.”
Musk, the current CEO and proprietor of Twitter, announced on Thursday night that he has engaged a new CEO for the company, who will begin her duties in six weeks.
Additionally, he stated that he will remain actively involved in the company as chief technology officer (CTO) and in systems operations.
Yaccarino resigned from her position as global advertising executive at NBCUniversal on Friday morning. In 2011, she joined the multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate based in the United States.
Musk stated in February that he may appoint a new Twitter CEO by the end of 2023.
The magnate is also the chief executive officer of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla and spacecraft manufacturer, launch vehicle, and satellite communications company SpaceX.
In October of last year, he paid $44 billion to acquire Twitter.
