Motorola recently introduced two new foldable smartphones with clamshell designs for the global market.
The company has now verified that the Motorola Razr 40 and the Razr 40 Ultra will be made available in India in the near future.
In contrast to most Motorola smartphones, which are typically sold via Flipkart, the impending models will be sold via Amazon and other major retailers.
There is currently no official confirmation regarding the release date of the Razr 40 series. Nevertheless, according to the official teaser, these devices should be available in the coming weeks.

Although they share a name, the Razr 40 and the Razr 40 Ultra are two distinct devices. The Razr 40 Ultra is an innovative clamshell foldable with a 3.6-inch cover screen.
The smartphone has a 6.9-inch display with a refresh rate of 165Hz and is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
Similarly, the Razr 40 has a cover display of 1.5 inches and a primary display of 6.9 inches with a maximum refresh rate of 144 hertz. This variant features up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
Both handsets are equipped with a 32-inch facial camera and the Android 13 OS. The Razr 40 Ultra has a dual-camera configuration with a 12 MP wide-angle and 13 MP ultra-wide angle lens, while the Razr 40 has a 64 MP primary camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide angle lens.
The Razr 40 has a battery capacity of 4,200 mAh, while the Razr 40 Ultra has a capacity of 3,800 mAh. Both devices support wired rapid charging up to 30W and wireless charging up to 5W. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra costs $999, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 82,508.
